Novus was started by a handful of Central Illinois entrepreneurs in 2004 to help entrepreneurs connect with one another. Their mission is to foster and facilitate greater entrepreneurial success by providing regular networking opportunities.

BNI 
BNI is the largest structured networking organization in the world. Started in 1986, they now have over 100,000 members in 40 countries passing millions of referrals. In Central Illinois, there are several hundred BNI members with chapters operating in Peoria, Bloomington/Normal, Champaign/Urbana, Springfield, and Decatur.
