At the MEDC, we like to celebrate local business expansions, new residential and commercial developments, and community projects. Below is a list of projects underway or recently completed in Morton.
Sam Leman Ford Chrysler - Expansion

Sam Lehman Ford Chrysler recently announced the addition of the JEEP line to their Morton dealership.
Morton Aquatic Center - New Construction

The Morton Park District will begin work on the new Morton Pool this fall. The new "Family Aquatic Center" will include an 8 lane competitive pool with appropriate depth for starting blocks, a wading pool with a built in playground as part of the pool, two water slides, a 3 meter high dive and 1 meter low board, an attractive bathhouse, permanent shade areas for public comfort, turf areas for sun bathing, and Wi-Fi for onsite internet access. The new pool is scheduled to open on Memorial Day Weekend in 2010.
Schooners - Expansion

Schooners recently completed a new outdoor beverage garden.
Red Rock Bar & Grille - Expansion

Red Rock Bar & Grille recently added an 800 square foot outdoor beverage garden and is currently adding 800 square feet to create a new Dueling Piano Bar, stage, and more seating for their bar area. The new expansion should be completed by September of 2009.
Millennia - New Location

Millennia, an engineering firm, recently decided to locate their growing offices in Morton. They purchased a building on North Main Street for their new headquarters.
CAT Logistics - Expansion

Caterpillar Logistics is adding over 21,000 square feet of space for a new data center.
Apostolic Christian Church Family Services – Expansion

The Apostolic Christian Church Family Services recently completed a new 5,200 sf center that opened in October of 2008.
Apostolic Christian Restmor – Expansion

Apostolic Christian Restmor is a 146-bed skilled nursing facility in Morton, IL sponsored by the Morton and Tremont, IL Apostolic Christian churches. A new Restmor facility recently opened.
Cornerstone Architectural Concepts – New Industrial Construction

Morton’s newest employer, Cornerstone Architectural Concepts, will be building their new headquarters on Flint Avenue. Their 21,416 sf production facility is scheduled to be completed in early 2009.
DC3 Solutions – Expansion

DC3, a growing technology company in Morton, recently expanded into new offices located on Adams Street in Downtown Morton.
Fieldstone Residential Development – New Residential Construction

This new residential development has 95 lots available for single family homes and duplex construction.
Hardees Fast Food Franchise – New Commercial Construction

Hardees is scheduled to open their new Morton location in the fall of 2008.
Heartland Bank – Expansion

Heartland Bank will begin construction on a new 5,180 sf bank building on Courtland Avenue this winter.
Heiser Insurance Agency – Expansion

Heiser Insurance Agency recently began the construction of a third level on their downtown office building to accommodate the growth of their own business and the need for additional retail and office space in downtown Morton. Their new office expansion should be complete by the end of 2008.
Holiday Inn Express – New Commercial Construction

The Peterson Group began construction on a new Holiday Inn Express near Interstate 74 this fall. This new 74 room, 3-story hotel will feature a swimming pool, meeting room that seats up to 50 people, and a fitness center. The project is scheduled for completion by spring of 2010.
J.J. Braker – Expansion

J.J. Braker and Sons, a local mason contractor, has a new 11,226 sf building under construction to accommodate their growth. They plan to move into their new building in December of 2008.
Morton Fire Department – Expansion

The Village of Morton will be building a new fire department in 2009. Planning is currently underway for the 4 million dollar project.
Orchard Hills Residential Development – New Residential Construction

This new subdivision has 17 lots available for new, higher-end homes.
O’Reilly Auto Parts – New Commercial Construction

O’Reilly Auto Parts recently announced they will be building a new 6,000 sf store in Morton.
TDI and Advanced Design Systems – Expansion

TDI and Advanced Design Systems will be constructing a second building near their current facility to support their expanding operations. Their new building will be 26,250 sf.
Trails At Timber Oaks Residential Development – New Residential Construction

Phase 1 of this new, upscale housing development that sits adjacent to the Uhlrich Wildlife Preserve offers 17 lots for new home construction.
