Memorial Day weekend, the new Morton Family Aquatic Center officially openned to a crowd of over 1000 citizens. "The new Family Aquatic Center offers a new and exciting swimming experience for residents of all ages and maintains the outdoor swimming pool as a focal point for families to enjoy summer activities in our park system," said Gary Watson, Director of the Park District. The new facility has a variety of amenities including an eight-lane competitive pool, a zero-depth wading pool with a built-in water playground, two water slides, and a deep end that accomodates both a low and high dive. A snack bar, bathhouse, sunny and shaded bathing areas, and free Wi-Fi for internet users are also a part of the new complex.
