High Tech Manufacturing Lab to be Built at Bradley
Last Friday, Congressman Aaron Schock joined Bradley University President Joanne Glasser, Dean Richard Johnson from the College of Engineering and Technology, and Caterpillar Inc. Vice President Tana Utley to announce a $2 million grant for Bradley to construct a new laboratory to discover innovative and creative manufacturing techniques. The funding is part of the partnership between Bradley and the Department of Defense to train the next generation of engineers to be innovative, creative and successful in the global economy.
Among the features of the new “Manufacturing Laboratory for Next Generation Engineers” is a 3-D design and rapid prototyping system that will automatically produce a prototype part directly from a design on the computer.
