Launch Business Creation Competition Deadline September 7

July 1, 2010 - Morton, IL - The Launch Business Creation Competition was started in 2009 by area Chambers, Economic Development Councils, and Business Assistance Centers as a way to spur business development in Central Illinois.  “Our ability to successfully support entrepreneurs and help them develop, launch, and grow innovative businesses in our region is critical to the healthy growth of our local economy,” said Jennifer Daly, CEO for the Morton Economic Development Council.  “We were proud to help develop the Launch program last year and are excited about the larger prize package we are offering in 2010.” 

Launch 2010 will award the winning entrepreneur $5,000 in seed funding.  In addition to the first place prize, a second place prize of $500 will also be offered.  “We hope to have many innovative business plans submitted for consideration of this prize,” said Daly.  The submission deadline is September 7th.  For more information and the application, go to www.launchnewbiz.com.
