Morton is home to a variety of manufacturing operations that have found our central location, transportation systems, access to training programs, and low tax rates to be a good fit to their business operations.  The number opf Primary Jobs located in the Village increased by 24% from 2002-2008 coompared to the Peoria MSA which grew 7.2% and the State of IL which grew 2.3% in the same time period.  The largest growth in jobs was seen in Transportation and Warehousing, Manufacturing, Management of Companies and Enterprises.
